Andrew Downs

Founder and Executive Director

Andrew founded the SAGE Group in 1994 and remains instrumental in establishing the ever expanding business portfolio of SAGE, responding to emerging market opportunities and needs. 

Andrew is a member of the Executive Committee of the Australian Industry Group in South Australia, a board member of the Australian Industry Group Training Group and was named Ernst & Young South Australian Entrepreneur (Central Region) of the Year in 2004.

Andrew’s vision, leadership and passion underpins the success and the culture of the entire SAGE Group. He initiated and implemented the private shareholding structure that currently exists and is actively involved in all subsidiary businesses.

Bruce Carter

Chairperson

Bruce joined the SAGE Board in 2020 as Chairman and brings a wealth of experience across industries in which SAGE operates and those in which we look to grow.

Bruce Carter holds a number of Directorships including the Australian Submarine Corporation, Aventus Capital Limited, Bank of Queensland, Crown Resorts Ltd, AIG Australia Ltd and OneRail Australia. Bruce is also Chairman of the State Government’s Resources, Infrastructure and Investment Taskforce.

Bruce is a Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Economics and MBA and is an active sportsman, having completed a number of remote treks and climbs.

Stuart Glenn

Non-Executive Director

Stuart joined the SAGE board in 2012 as Non-Executive Director.

Stuart is the Chairman of Fyfe Group Pty Ltd, Non-Executive Director of Omega Ensemble and Chief Executive Officer of Joule Energy Pty Ltd.

Prior to returning to Australia to pursue a career as a Non-Executive Company Director, Stuart held several positions with Parsons Brinckerhoff in Australia and the United Kingdom, finishing as CEO and President of Parsons Brinkerhoff International in Singapore.

Stuart’s passion is assisting companies with growth strategies.

Michael Givoni

Non-Executive Director

Michael joined the SAGE board as Non-Executive Director in 2017, attracted to the organisation for its capability to genuinely impact its industry.

Michael is currently the Chairman of BSA Ltd, Non-Executive Director of CaterCare Pty Ltd, Chairman of Winslow Construction Pty Ltd, Chairman of Buzz Productions Pty Ltd, Chairman of First 5 Minutes Pty Ltd, Chairman of Gross Waddell Pty Ltd and Non-Executive Director of RSEA Pty Ltd.

Holding a Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Economics, Michael is an accomplished director and exciting addition to the SAGE board.

Evonne Collier

Non-Executive Director

Evonne is a professional director and an experienced leader in business scale-up, transformation and digital disruption and marketing, with considerable multinational experience across SaaS, data analytics, and sales and marketing strategies in industries spanning MedTech, FinTech, pharmaceutical/health, eCommerce and FMCG.

Evonne has served as Chair and non-executive director on various boards since 2011, including ASX-listed Think Childcare and Vault Intelligence. Currently, Evonne is Chair of digi-health tech Curae Health and non-executive director of 4D Medical, Sniip, and Motorama Automotive Holdings.

Evonne holds a Master of Business (Marketing, Strategy, Innovation), Bachelor of Arts, Graduate Certificate of Applied Finance, and is a Graduate Member of the AICD.

Adrian Fahey

Managing Director

Adrian’s history with SAGE spans over 25 years, during which time he has been instrumental in the growth of the business from a South Australian business, to a national and now a global business. 

Adrian has led the SAGE Group’s transformation strategy to now span the services of industrial automation, digitisation and data analytics, resource management and skills development. 

Adrian holds multiple Board and Council positions in industry, both domestically and internationally, including the Global Control System Integrator’s Association (CSIA).

Dion Draper

Company Secretary

Dion is responsible for all the finance and administration requirements of the SAGE Group, including legal and human resources as well as liaison to the Board of Directors. Dion joined SAGE Group in 2007.

As Company Secretary, Dion’s key responsibility is to ensure compliance with standard financial and legal practice and to maintain standards of corporate governance. In this role Dion acts as the point of communication between the Group’s chairperson, board of directors and company shareholders, reporting in a timely and accurate manner on company procedures and developments.

Dion is a Chartered Accountant and prior to joining SAGE was Finance Manager at Tenix Defence and Management Accountant at Michell Pty Ltd.
