The South Australian Government’s Obahn City Access Project will use the latest intelligent transport systems (ITS) technologies and construction upgrades to improve travel times and reliability for users.
Main works contractor McConnell Dowell Australia needed to ensure the power supply for such systems would be safe and reliable.
SAGE Automation was engaged to manufacture the LV switchboards required for the project.
In addition to this manufacture, SAGE’s role in the project also extends to providing ITS and C-ITS technology and control systems integration. This includes the engineering, design, installation and testing of ITS in the road asset.
Read more about the ITS technologies being integrated here.
The LV switchboards now supply electricity to the new infrastructure. In addition, full redundancy backups ensures a seamless supply of electricity to the system.
SAGE designed and manufactured the following:
Product: 2 SAGE main cubic modular type-tested switchboards
